I’ve seen a few but I can’t decide which protocol to use yet. I’m working on a DHT pet project and I’d like to avoid making it rely on any relay servers.

    I use a periodic auto-delete. Partially so stupid shit I said years ago doesn’t get dredged up by trolls, partially so ML companies can’t use my posts as training data.

    If federation were working correctly, you would see a normal “deleted by creator” status. Unfortunately, Lemmy does not federate comment deletions properly.
