That and, depending on the stylebook you use, some specific words and uppercase letters that could be considered confusing when pluralized, like “Oakland A’s” and “Do’s and Don’ts” (according to AP, while I much prefer Chicago’s guidelines).

Folks should just remember that apostrophes are never used to pluralize. Of course there are like 2 exceptions, but better to be right 98 times out of 100 than guess every time.
Thank you Kanye, very funny.

“Where’s the body!” “Where’s the steering wheel!” “Where’s the father!” One of his classics…
Literally every fable ends with a good lesson, how to pick! The salt merchant’s donkey sticks out as a memorable one because it’s complex–the donkey’s mistake is not trying to lighten its load, it is doing so excessively, trying to reduce its load to zero every day. The merchant’s revenge seems somewhat cruel, but isn’t actually forced upon the donkey until/unless, even though the sponges are very light on the last day, the donkey tries to make them even lighter by slipping into the water. It’s a classic “pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered” type message, but with some interesting nuance to it.
Etalians responding to this meme: You’re a damn a right I cooka da meatball!

To find a place to stain
I’ve received in-patient care, overnight studies, emergency procedures, and much more in Spain without ever paying a dollar in copays or fees, and I’ve never waited more than 2 weeks for non-urgent care or an hour for urgent care.
My taxes are $600/month total in Madrid. Given that I have epilepsy, my insurance alone in the US was $490/month, AND I paid more in taxes ($1100/month).
So, yes, universal healthcare isn’t “free,” and it’s supported by taxes. And still, Americans are taxed more AND have to pay for insurance? And then you still have to pay copays? I don’t think “dur dur me taxes!” is actually the strong argument you think it is. And wait times are no longer (or in fact are shorter) in many countries with universal healthcare. But you know what’s longer? Life expectancies.

Say you’re from California on the form and it’ll change what you have to enter. You don’t have to put in an address or verify CA residency.
Including the opt out link in the announcement article is a good guy move on the writer’s part. Thanks, Kate. You’re a pal.
Definitely a shitpost and a whoosh
While your instincts may say so, not according to any one of the major style guides (AP, MLA, Chicago, NYT, APA, Columbia). An apostrophe is only added for possessives rather than plurals with acronyms, but a lot of people still add them erroneously. Most sources online will say “don’t do it but some people do by mistake.”
