I was in a similar boat. Initially, I ran debian with docker but later on decided to check out unraid. It’s pretty easy to get setup, and you have a lot of docker containers pre-configured, so you can just click and install. I have it notify me whenever something goes on with it, but outside of that, I don’t tinker much with it.

Only two weird things about it though…

    1. You dont install unraid. Instead, you run it through a usb. More specifically, the usb has a specific config that’ll then load everything to your memory.

    2. Recently, they redid their pay structure so not too familiar with the changes but you do have to pay for unraid.

  • Try things out. Get an old pc with some old hard drives no one will want and get to it!

Just install whatever on it and start asking yourself what you want to do with it.

I started on Ubuntu Server and ended up on Unraid. Caused alot of problems along the way but in the end I learned alot to where I dont stress too much when stuff goes south.

Also, when you truly do invest into a proper server. Consider the drives you are buying are gonna die one day. It may take years to happen but it will happen!

  • Pure capitalism allows many to abuse the system and that results in what we have today here in the us. Overtime politicians have continued to do patchwork to simply get by for the next one to take over and scrap whatever agenda the previous one had in play. Which makes the problems worst and in turn takes longer to address.

We need both legislation and accountability for alot of things but it seems to be impossible to get both of those things. Hell, I dont care that your rich. Just dont bring everyone down with you when you take that one gamble and it causes everything to crash!

  • In our family, consisting of myself as the oldest, my brother as the middle child, and my sister as the youngest, our birthdays fall within a month of each other. At some point, my mother befriended this particular individual and their family, resulting in them frequently visiting. However, both my brother and I never really liked them due to their behavior, while my sister seemed to be held in high regard and became their favorite. Personally, I didn’t mind this as it meant dealing with them less.

On the occasion of my sister’s birthday, they came over to celebrate and brought along a trunk full of gifts for her. Of course, she was overjoyed with everything she received. After showcasing all the presents for my sister, they surprisingly announced that they also had gifts for my brother and I. They handed us a bag, and upon looking inside, we discovered Arby’s frisbees inside. Apparently, on their way to my sister’s party, they had eaten at Arby’s, and the frisbees came as a bonus with their meals.

Now whenever I see them I think about the fucken frisbee!!!

  • Musk was considered the real life “iron man” due to all the futuristic projects he would start. I feel as if many were under the impression that he was this really smart guy working tirelessly to make all these insane ideas become a reality but the moment he stepped up and decided to buy twitter is when it all changed.

He announces to buy twitter, finds out twitter is bleeding out, decides not to buy twitter, to then realize he cant back out. Once he started taking the initiative to change twitter to make it more profitable is when everyone began to realize who musk really is.

I use to be one of those people interested in the next thing musk would do but now I rather not se another tweet from him.
