I’m not who you originally asked, but one of the things other than torrenting that I use a VPN for is bypassing arbitrary geo-restrictions on websites. A lot of (mostly US) websites don’t allow you to access them if you aren’t in the country, or in some cases, if you don’t live in the right state.
It’s a fantastic show if you haven’t seen it. The first half of season one can be a little rough, but it really picks up in season 2 and beyond. It’s amazingly well written, and has visual gags that you don’t notice until the second or third time watching.

Legalization efforts have been piecemeal throughout the country, and still less than half the states have direct recreational access. I’m sure it’s a factor, but until we have federal recreational legalization, we should see a downward trend instead of a drop.
