AccuBattery. It was some door security app my company uses . I just took away background access.
I’m happy with my choice to upgrade…
The AI stuff is gimmicky of course but for basically questions Gemini is doing ok (quickly getting torque specs for bolts) will out in the garage seems improved over “assistant”.
Battery life has been good after finding a stupid app that was running in the background killing it!!
Lower I275 loop outside Cincinnati near the Cincinnati airport (in Kentucky)
Well, to each his own… I should get $699 for my 8pro as trade-in and already got a $200 store credit. I’ve actually been waiting for the Pixel Buds Pro 2’s and by going with the Pixel 9 I am getting $900 “off” those purchases.
I only toggled it and saw no difference so I turned it back off. So far, the morning reboot fixed it, but I’ll be monitoring it closely. I use my headphones a lot. Also Not sure how to turn ‘off’ the pixel buds. I’m sure there’s a way to reboot them I’d just need to search.
I did go into developer settings last night and disabled the audio sync. “Disable absolute volume” and that didn’t seem to change anything. (I did not try to raise the volume on my buds after I was at max on phone though)
I’ve never noticed this ‘issue’ before. However I realize I did just copy a bunch of crap to this phone, install updates, etc… I’m also having some weird tasker behavior where it is randomly crashing. That was actually the driver of the reboot this morning as I had updated/toggled some permissions that didn’t seem to be sticking.
Responding to my own post… It was like midnight when I ‘discovered’ this, and this morning I decided to reboot my phone and then try again. The audio seems normal now. 🙄 I will be paying attention to this close now.
Wondering if there’s any setting that adjusts the max volume (like night mode). I wish I had tried before rebooting, but I was just drinking my first cup of coffee haha.
A week isn’t bad. I just use mine to track a lot if activities, even sailing. So hours of GPS tracking. I’m really happy with my Garmin.
I’d like their upper watches to have some more smart features, but not at the expense of battery life.
My Fenix has NFC payments, it gets notifications. Holds music/podcasts so I connect headset directly to it.
But reading and responding to notifications is clunky.
Still, for me Garmin is the way to go.
I got a pixel watch 2 last year when I bought a Pixel phone and tried wearing it. Loved the extra smart features but couldn’t stand the battery life. Just a non starter for me
Problem with the smarter fitness watches is battery life. My Fenix can go about 2 weeks with running 4 days a week. I do t want to have to manage charging my watch so often it’s a pain to capture my life. (Sleeping, steeps, activities)
Garmin watches, IMHO more rugged and they do not put their software behind a paywall. You’ll pay for it in the cost of the watch.
I’ve been using Garmin for fitness since about 2013, I have use a Charge HR for steps/fitness alongside my Garmin watches when I used them only for activities.
Eventually I replaced that with a garmin Fenix 3HR that did steps, activities and looked good enough to wear all the time
I have a Fenix 6 now.
$5 footlong
Ha, I get this reference/know more-or-less where this is. Will be at the FCC (Cincinnati Soccer) game tonight.

ebay a few now before the prices go up and put them in a closet.
I am actively using 11 Chromecast Audios (long since EOL) in my house to send music to multi channel amps feeding speakers in my house. I ordered 5 of them within the last 6mo from Japan (ebay) at an inflated cost, but they are still available.
I’m sure if you used the kiosk often you could learn it. I struggled to just order a 1/4 pounder meal. It wasn’t showing me combos.
But i don’t have any desire to learn it or visit McDonald’s :)
Wife mentioned it today at work and it appears “that” McD’s is notorious for being awful. Again, I’m McD’s expert but the story on here about profits down last quarter was just odd timing for me ending up at one. So ijad my own opinion as to why there may be more issues!
It’s annoying as hell. I can hide shorts on my shield TV YT app from desktop at 30 day increments. It sucks you can’t just turn them off
