I think Signal is against that because it compromises their security model. Also I think they aren’t required by law to implement it but I’m not sure.
Try flashing GrapheneOS if you’re comfortable with it?
Yes the DMA. WhatsApp has the skeleton code for it in place I think
As an Indian I would say India lacks in physical infrastructure - roads, public transport (although this is improving rapidly), etc. However having lived in Europe I will say that the technological infrastructure is very good over here - banking and payment systems (UPI is way better than the payment systems in Europe), online services, internet quality, etc.
Oh. In Dublin at least Google Maps is pretty good for public transport. OSM doesn’t show correct routes
OSM is good for public transport?
You might like ViMusic. It is a 3rd party client for YT music. I started using it recently and really liked the UI.
Ah okay. Thanks!
Is it different from a pressure cooker? Because pressure cooker is similar (add water, rice, start cooking, wait for X whistles) and has multiple use cases.
Ah cool. I never had to use this myself but I always found it kind of cool. I guess it’s good I never had to use this lol.
Not ethical: If you have to submit assignments (like .docx
files) online and you haven’t finished it in time, take a random .docx
file and edit it in a text editor (like notepad) and add/delete some random stuff. You can send this file and the professor won’t be able to open it so you will get an extension by default.
BRICS won’t be as successful as G7 despite the growing importance I think because India and China are at odds with each other unlike G7 where there are no internal disputes.
Obi WLAN Kenobi
Worse. You can’t turn it off :/
Why do you want them to switch from Signal? Federation? Other than that Signal’s great. Idk specifically about Signal bridge but I’m in a room with Telegram and IRC bridged and both bridges work pretty well. The room was bridged to XMPP as well but XMPP bridge was weird (resent random messages sometimes) so we removed it. Give it a try though and if possible tell me how it works? I’m curious :p
EU’s Digital Markets Act might interest you :p
What did you find confusing about Element? The most confusing part for most people is the federation but since you’re on Lemmy, I assume that’s not the case for you.
tar --help
is a valid command :p
