A great trick for Garmin watches is that they make some high end models with sapphire glass. Get one of those used and you have top of the line stuff for a reasonable price, yet the glass never scratches so it will look like new…
I learned about it here on Lemmy, when needed I just google it
You could use the Phallus hieroglyph: 𓂸
But Polestar has signed collective agreements in Sweden.
Maybe you would enjoy “Every tool’s a hammer” by Adam Savage.
I’m using anytype.io, it’s been pretty neat so far.
These we taken in northern Sweden. It doesn’t really matter where you are as long as you are far enough north and the sky is dark and clear.
The small board that was above the numpad has all the smarts for the whole keyboard, so I had to follow the traces it was attached to and find a new location to wire it in at. Yeah, it can be pretty expensive. Some tips:
It depends a bit on what equipment you have, but at least with my gear I don’t see much even on individual 100s exposures until I post process to bring out what was captured.
Thanks!
I had a camera, a telephoto lens and a tripod, got some initial results and started looking into improvements :)
The astrophotography reddit was a great place to learn as well. Not sure if there’s still any life there or if it’s gone the way of most of Reddit…
Here’s my first picture of this Nebula, it’s just a 400mm lens and a tripod. One 2.5min exposure.
Two things help a lot:
But, even without any of those, I’ve taken images of the Orion Nebulae with just a tripod. It will be a lot blurrier and noisier and generally worse, but its pretty cool to see it show up anyway.
Unlikely as it opened in 2022…
