Time to add a cron job to auto reboot it once a day
… Yeah especially when the medal list is dominated by countries like China and Japan.
I use syncthing so there’s a copy of my password database on each of my devices.
IIUC during REM sleep your body loses muscle tone. And that’s the phase of sleep where dream happens. Which means, at least in humans, when you twitch in sleep, you aren’t dreaming. Same thing when someone is sleepwalking.
Sounds like not using Google search would be a way more effective way of reducing CO2
“If something is silenced, then that must mean it is right” is a pretty bad argument. There are genuinely good reasons to ban something. Being unnecessarily aggressive can be one.
There is a line somewhere I think. Like people weren’t 100% sure the atomic bomb won’t ignite the atmosphere (it’s only very unlikely), but they still tested it. Similarly the probability of creating micro blackholes at LHC is not zero either, yet they still ran it.
If we have to make sure everything is 100% safe before we can do anything, we will be stuck with the status quo.
If it gets “stolen” by a for-profit corporation it only makes it better, because now my software has reached more people, thus (theoretically) improving their lives.
well that’s a very idealistic, and capitalistic way of looking at this (i.e. for-profit corporation is making a profit only because it’s making people’s lives better). which just isn’t the case in real life.
realistically, when you release something in a permissive license, you are more likely to improve someone’s bottom line, than to improve people’s lives in general.
Always funny to see native speakers discover trivial facts about their language
They probably aren’t looking for the factual information, perhaps more the logical thinking abilities.

While I agree with you that video editing under Linux is seriously lacking, I think that your conclusion
lonux is perfect for thw really basic user or for the hyper advanced superuser types
is not justified. There are not that many people who need to use a video editor.
How do you know if the liquid water is comfortable? Did you ask it?
Call to action from, say, activist groups is very different from call to action from a billion-dollar company. This does make me really worried about how much influencer TikTok has on people ngl
You have a misunderstanding of how China’s government operates. It does not matter how much stake the government holds, companies just cannot say no to the government’s request. Otherwise you will be disappeared. See Alibaba for example.
Remember, China does not have a democracy.
Yes, governmental surveillance is always bad. But let’s not pretend being surveilled by NSA is as bad as being surveilled by the authoritarian government of China.
Well they have successfully gas lit you
Yeah, you are right and I was somewhat misinformed.
That been said, yuzu isn’t the one doing circumventing is it? It doesn’t provide tools for dumping games or anything. It’s just an emulator.
wdym? you can still use wireless with a phone that has a headphone jack.
