Yeah, I can tell why this is from adhddd.com, it’s all about assertiveness. People with ADHD in general (including myself, to an extent) have trouble with being assertive, so most of the phrases in this chart try to change a meek or mild-mannered response to a more assertive one. I think part of the struggle of life is finding balance because while some of these are generally improvements, others are generally worse, and the difference will depend on the tone you’re going for and the person that you’re sending the email.

In most cases the creator doesn’t hold the IP anymore, they signed it over to the platform. I don’t think it’s cool to pirate indy games when you can afford them because in that case the money is genuinely being withheld from the content creator, but in a lot of cases depriving Amazon of $5 for a TV show isn’t going to impact anyone.

Agreed. I’m under no delusions, when I pirate media I’m stealing. I personally don’t believe it’s immoral to steal from super corporations, especially considering how much they steal from us, but some people disagree and with these types of moral arguments there isn’t a clear right answer. Even still, I think the majority of pirates are willing to pay for software or media when the service is priced well and more convenient than piracy.

I think it’s really cool here. The people have been mostly friendly, the communities I’m following are decently active, and new features are being added every day. I honestly have very few complaints.

Out of curiosity, what problems are you having with the drivers? I have a GTX 1070ti graphics card and the drivers for it have been ok on Linux, the integration hasn’t been as smooth as Windows but I haven’t had any problems.

Right now all reviews are private feedback because the app is early access, but once the app doe its first full release version that will change.

As a note though, wefwef is FOSS. It’s GitHub page is linked in the web app and there are instructions to host a version of it yourself, if you so desire.

Not just that, but the code contributed to Lemmy by this debugging will make Lemmy run faster for everyone on every instance, which is makes the ecosystem that much better.

Thunder and wefwef are also pretty good. I really like the gesture controls on them though, so that may be biasing me a bit.

The quality of the posts being worse makes sense, I’m guessing some of the Reddit power users moved here and they were generating the majority of quality OC on Reddit.

I think caves have a bit more variability to them which makes them a bit more thrilling. Mines, being artificial, are fairly uniform and while very cool don’t have the variability or the natural aesthetic that the most impressive caves do.

Essentially yes, that’s what we need. Unfortunately, that type of functionality is still limited, though I hope with the more advanced third-party apps on the way we’ll get a sort of pseudo-support for it in the mean time.

Absolutely. I’m glad that we’re cultivating such a great community so far, hopefully it will only continue to grow and improve as time goes on.

Block them individually. There’s no way currently to block an instance as a user.

Because the goal was to ban third party apps and they don’t want people trying to dodge it. u/spez seems to be personally offended by their existence and wants them gone.

Honestly that would be fine. Having that content here would be nice anyhow, we wouldn’t have to leave as often.
