That’s quite bullshit honestly. As far as I know if I wanted to go to US I’d need a VISA.

I’m confused, didn’t Americans need a VISA to visit European countries? They just jump into a plain and fly here with their passport and no questions asked?
If it’s like this I had no idea…
Most likely something happened to her that caused some kind of fear.
My younger one also had some rough “childhood”. History is, he got into my car, the bottom of it inside the protective plastics. I was at work and couldn’t for the hell of it remove the cat. So I had to drive home, where with the help of my brother I lifted the car and had to remove those plastics to be able to rescue him. (I drove 40km with him scared always meowing, rough ride).
Took him right away to a vet to see if there was something he needed care with, had just a burn in his tail which I got medicine for.
Nowadays he’s scared very easily and hate visits. Though he’s the sweetest cat, even allows me to pet his belly. But that’s why I guessed that he already had some history.
You adopted her already a bit old in her life right?
A cat that hates boxes and confined spaces it’s a first. They usually love both these things…
Almost everyday Ukrainian child’s get either killed or hurt in random attacks to civilian targets. This bridge is a military target, and Russians should already be aware of it.
Must be the same type of people who always wonders why they’re still single.
They’re always ruining the UX to push their own system.
And Microsoft thinks that if they don’t find the file we want them to search on a search engine we don’t use on a browser we don’t use.
That’s how it works with Microsoft. Even search in Windows disregards completely your default browsers settings into opening them straight in Edge.
31.2% load it’s damn fine considering how much attention Lemmy.world has been getting lately. Server is up for 3 weeks already so I guess that’s when you upgraded it?
I mean the platform needs to store information in order to be able to show them to other users no? As a programmer I can’t really see a better way to handle up and down votes than that.
You can’t disable registrations from what I’m understanding but you can make them pending some approval. So in my case I’d just ignore any registration done.
I know this may not be popular but I may only host to myself. I have a VPS for my personal website and other projects that has some free processing power available (its a Hetzner ARM VPS, the cheapest), so I also need to figure out if Lemmy runs on ARM SoCs. I figure it must run since some people may try to run it on RPIs.
As far as I know, once instance and either see all its own communities and all other instance’s. So should be fine and you wouldn’t be causing load on instances used by people who dont have enough knowledge to host.
Was here thinking, couldn’t I host my own instance for my own usage?
My concern is, as instances grow they will become a lot more expensive to mantain. So how will we fix this? Monetize with donations, advertising, block registrations?
Ah so it’s the same already as here. I know I’d have to pay to fill a form online and pay a sum to go to the US. The title is a bit misleading.
