Fwiw, I’ve had no issues playing CS2 on either with my old (3700x/1080ti) or newer setup (5800X3D/7900XTX) with PopOS. The first doesn’t seem too far away from your rig, have you tried switching the Nvidia driver you’re on? I think Turing is fine with 560?
I smell a class action lawsuit brewing
Does your display specifically support HDR? If not it doesn’t matter whether the codecs/media/metadata support it, you won’t gain from it
Deadbeef might be worth a look, though you might need a plugin for folder view
To be fair I’ve had no issues, just trying to degoogle slowly
Great to see, tempted to buy this on principle as I’m fortunate enough to have the disposable income.
They’re ironing out some wrinkles with NFT support at the moment, and then the next planned feature is wireless display support.
Uh, I’m assuming they mean NFC support
Moved to Protonmail earlier this year, just cancelled my Drive sub and am looking at switching to Mega
I agree with this from using Pop on a Surface Pro 8, much more casual usage though: mainly web browsing, watching shows, light gaming and scrolling through PDFs/CBR files. Just using a cheap/non pressure sensitive stylus too
I try to think this wherever I bemoan the lack of IPU4 support
Great news, would love to see not just laptops but tablets too from vendors like Tuxedo and System76
Functionality is also nonexistent on administrating uploads in YT Music. At least on GPM you could edit basic tags and upload/edit album art. None of that on YTM
Even having moved to Linux, I miss Foobar. Deadbeef isn’t that dissimilar but isn’t quite close though for me
Number 2 was huge for me, and it hit home when I realised that 99% of my Steam library was supported. Thankfully I don’t need to use any Windows only apps (Adobe suite, etc) so the decision to move over to Linux was trivial personally
I know this is a meme but this is why I like being a a PopOS peasant. Proudly so, even
I’ve never had this come up and travel abroad a fair bit. Though now that I think about it I always use it through a VPN set to my home country lol
Wayne Knight still underrated
I’ve been using OLauncher for nearly a year, very clean and simple. Maybe too simple compared to Niagara but I dig it plus it’s FOSS
I started using Pop OS at the start of the year and have managed to play the vast majority of games including Baldur’s Gate 3. My hardware was similar to yours (though I’ve recently upgraded): 3700X, 1080Ti. Downloaded the version of Pop with the Nvidia drivers and ensured Steam Play was enabled for all games (to automatically utilise Proton).
I’d suggest trying the other Nvidia driver versions, as one of the other ones might work better with your 1070. Seem to recall I accidentally switched to one of the other versions Pop offers and had issues so maybe playing around with them will get some games working
Mobile plans as standard here (in the UK) offer SMS for free, can’t remember when they used to routinely charge tbh. But I think I only text my dad as he’s very old school, everyone else is Signal/WhatsApp/Telegram
