I want to like futo but I think it just needs more time. I’m using Gboard without the Internet access turned on (I’m using graphene OS) so I’m not worried about Google knowing anything I type.
I mostly use the swipe to text feature and I just haven’t found another keyboard that does it better than Gboard (unfortunately)
But have they figured out how to keep the wheels from falling off?
If enough people steal via self checkout they will go away. (This is not shopping/self checkout advice)
I’m on Lemmy.world & using the eternity app I haven’t had any real issues yet but it’s only been about 2 months for me since I started using this platform.
Maybe it’s because I use Linux but I can’t relate (anymore). So glad I’ll never have to sit through another forced windows update 😌
I don’t use Arch but if I did id probably go with archinstall. I don’t see the point in going from scratch unless you absolutely need to. I could care less about bragging rights for installing an operating system lol.
Yes definitely look into docker. It’s a very cool piece of software. If you can find a tutorial for what you want to run try that as it can be a bit confusing if you never used docker before
Just Linux for me…I haven’t used windows since windows 7. I’m probably going to sell my steam deck though because it mostly just sits in the case on top of my computer (where I usually play since my computer is plugged into my 50 inch bedroom TV. But the stream deck is nice and fun to play with.

My answer is boring. Almost nothing. I feel like I finally have things dialed in. Except maybe my desktop experience. But beyond that the most i see myself doing is making some upgrades to my PC like a larger nvme drive since i edit with resolve on a 500GB nvme & if you’ve worked with clips in resolve on Linux you know how huge the files can be. One project can be 50 GBs.
Yes I have to switch to light mode everytime I go outside during the day because (unfortunately) my screen just isn’t quite bright enough in direct sunlight but switching to light mode helps me see things a little better.
But normally I prefer to be in dark mode. It saves battery (I have an AMOLED display) and is easier on the eyes especially indoors/in dark environments/at night.
If my screen was brighter I’d leave dark mode on when outside in direct sunlight too.
