Hi guys, recently I bought a Poco F5 and I noticed that for some apps (ex: Discord, Whatsapp, Google Messages, etc), if I receive a notification and pull down, it creates a floating window for the app.
However, other apps like Signal don’t have this behaviour and I can’t find a setting to enable it.
Am I missing some setting, or does Xiaomi have an app whitelist we can’t change?
Thanks.
What I’m talking about is different. All the apps I refer support that including Signal. What I’m talking about is when the notification bar appears on the top when you receive a notification, if you pull it down a small draggable window with the app will appear.
Oh got it! That’s there on Samsung as well. From what I’ve seen most apps work in that view on Samsung, but they revert to a landscape orientation. Some apps are simply borked because they don’t support landscape mode.
I think MIUI does have a whitelist for major apps so that they can maintain some consistency in how the feature works. On Samsung, they don’t have that, but the experience ends up being different for every app.
