There’s just a weird dimple being made in her breast because her partial weight is tied to a central point behind her shoulderblades. And yeah the knee looks to be having a bad time, but nothing dangerous at least.

Shibari as a whole is specifically meant to be artistic and photogenic. If you’re doing it in the bedroom it’s probably not going to be exceptionally intricate or dangerous. The people doing these ties are going to be very experienced and have safety measures place to prevent injury. In this specific photo if you look at the models ear there’s a loop that will release the tension of the ropes around her neck in the event of a catastrophe for example.
