Charity, large or small, is just a middleman to address a social problem that should be addresses by the appropriate governmental body through progressive taxation to begin with. The reason large charities exist is so that revolutionary ways to address our current economic order can be safely redirected from any kind of long-term action that may threaten the status quo.
