This is a ridiculous “we know better” move
It’s not ridiculous, they do know better than most people. I work for a SaaS company and the number of people I have to tell “no, you can’t use Proton with our service” every week proves it.
What about Geary? Thunderbird? This is a ridiculous “we know better” move. There is 3rd party app support, but it’s paywalled. They want your money.
